Plumbing is a necessary part of any home, so why not make it beautiful? Here are some recent design trends that can help you keep the look of your plumbing up-to-date:
Plumbing: Chrome continues to be the most popular finish for fixtures, as it tends to be the least expensive and hardiest of choices. High-end plumbing brands are partnering with global architects and well-known designers to create plumbing that has multiple advanced technologies, looks great, and functions well in the home.
Kitchens: Homeowners want their kitchens to look clean and polished, and both young and old are tending towards a transitional style. We are seeing fewer handles and faucets in sink fixtures, for a smooth look with minimal lines. A faucet will likely have a single-hole application, or one handle. Pot fillers are still very popular, and are installed above a range or stovetop.
Bathrooms: In the master bathroom, homeowners are taking out their bathtubs and expanding their showers. Those who do keep a bathtub usually install a freestanding design. In powder bathrooms, styles are veering away from transitional and into experimental urban. Plumbing is coming through the wall, and sporting unique wall mounts. Instead of sinks, crystal vessel bowls are being installed on top of the counter space.
