When you are building a new house, it may seem like some things will be automatically figured out for you, such as your electricity. However, it is worth looking at the electrical plan yourself, as it so often happens that not enough outlets or adequate lighting have been provided.
With the growth in technology, the number of electrical gadgets used in our homes has increased greatly. Think about the number of computers, phones, TVs and kitchen appliances you have in your house, and where you use them. You can plan your new house around the number and placement of outlets you’ll need based on how and where you use your electronics.
Lighting is another neglected area. Consider which rooms you want well-lit and plan to install adequate lighting for them. Layered lighting is a popular design trend, allowing for all types of illumination in one space.
