In Indiana, January brings cold weather and football. You may be gearing up your entertainment system for the Super Bowl, or you may be packing to head south for a few months. Either way your home may have digital and electrical needs in both these areas.
If you are planning to host a large party to watch the big game and your TV is rather small, consider moving it to a secondary viewing area and purchase a larger TV for the big game. Many retailers have last-minute specials during the holidays or leading up to the Super Bowl, so you may be able to find a decent TV for a reasonable price. If you’re a serious fan, you may want to install a Sonos audio system so you can hear the play-by-play in every room of your home.
If you are preparing to head south for the winter, contact your alarm company and have a low temperature sensor installed to protect your home in the off-chance there is a thermocouple failure. It is a very small price to pay in exchange for potentially saving thousands of dollars on repairs and avoiding enormous inconvenience.
