Summer is a busy season for businesses as the warm weather breathes new life into everything. But even our hard-working members take time off to visit great places, spend time with family, relax and enjoy the bright days of summer:
“I am excited about going to Ireland with my husband and his 100% Irish family!” Caryn O’Sullivan, Drapery Street
“For my son’s birthday, we went to Disneyland and Universal Hollywood to feed the minions bananas.” Diana Dinges, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery
“We’ve been a bit too busy for much fun so far, but we will soon be heading to Washington D.C. for an annual conference. We also have a Segway tour scheduled to see the sights—sounds like fun. Meanwhile, we have been enjoying the many musical events in Carmel, attending concerts at the gazebo and the Palladium, as well as Jazz on the Monon.” Michael Kile, Alpha Graphics
“We were just in Folly Beach, SC. It’s a very small surf town with great local food—the time away was relaxing and fun.” Mike Tubbs, Steg Plumbing
“I bought a new motorcycle! Besides riding, camping and kayaking have also been part of my summer diet. A trip to the Siesta Keys with friends and my significant other was a big highlight. Right now I am looking forward to two big parties coming up in August: my significant other’s birthday and graduation from Wesleyan University!” Christina Garten, Christina’s Complete Clean
“In a couple of weeks, I will be taking my granddaughter to visit Gatlinburg, TN.” Brian Paxson, A Better View
“This summer my wife Lori and I shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience attending the 2015 MCB All-Star game in Cincinnati!” James Spink, Bin There Dump That
“I am planning a motorcycle camping trip across the upper part of Michigan.” Ray Rice, Digital Sight & Sound
“I took a trip to Nashville, TN, over the 4th of July weekend. Nashville is a great city to visit, and it was a fun time.” Phil Hotle, 21st Century Scheetz
“Summer to me means lots of physical activity: kayaking, camping, volleyball, swimming, football, tennis, and of course climbing roofs.” Millie Hindes, Watergate Roofing
“I will soon be traveling to Napa for a week to visit wineries with 5 other friends!” Jennifer Riley Simone, Fresh Figs Marketing
“We have just moved into a new home, and I have been busy with woodworking projects. I did visit the Brickyard with my son, and we got to sit in the IU Health Suite.” Bob Drayton, Timberland Lumber
“Hit Chicago this summer, and next up is Florida.” Donna Moulder, Mirror & Glass Concepts
“The summer months are peak season for our relocation business. My wife, 6-year old daughter, and I did spend a long weekend at King’s Island in June. This was the first year my daughter was tall enough to ride the big coasters! She proved to be fearless and loved them all. Our 16-year old son has been away all summer traveling the country as a Mello-phone player (marching French horn) in the Madison Scouts (part of the World Class Corps of Drum and Bugle Corps International). He returns August 9th for the world finals and gets to come home to us that evening. So we’re making a postponed summer family vacation to Panama City Beach, FL for a week in October during fall break. CAN’T WAIT!” David Stamper, Planes Companies
